Welcome to the portals of Army Institute of Education (AIE), Greater NOIDA. The Institute is one among the 12 prestigious professional education colleges in India managed by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), a purely non-profit welfare organisation registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1861 on April 29, 1983. Realizing the prominence of education as a major welfare activity, the Indian Army created the AWES with a vision to cater to the aspirations of wards of Army personnel through provision of quality and affordable education.

AIE has inherited a strong philosophy from its founder Late Gen BC Joshi, then Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) to provide holistic education to the wards of Army Personnel. The Management of AIE is headed by the Patron, Lt Gen Vijay Kumar Mishra, AVSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Delhi Area and the Chairman, Maj Gen Alok Kacker, Chief of Staff (COS) Delhi Area who unceasingly guide and inspire the faculty, staff and student-teachers in their pursuit for Professional excellence.

AIE is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi and is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for its Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme and the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) for B.Ed. Special Education (Learning Disability) programme. AIE is NAAC accredited and has obtained Grade ‘A’ by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi consecutively now for the sixth year and is an ISO 9001:2015 certified Institute. AIE has been recognized as Social Entrepreneurship, Swachhta and Rural Engagement Cell Institution (SES REC) and VENTEL (Vocational Education- NaiTalim- Experiential Learning) Action Plan by the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Dept of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

AIE Greater NOIDA has been acknowledged as the Nodal Centre for Inclusive Education by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). It is recognized as a Think Tank and Test Bed for Inclusive Education for Army Public Schools, Army Pre-Primary Schools and Asha Schools across India.

Our student-teachers are 100 per cent Indian Army wards and dependents. Wisdom, perseverance, discipline, steadfastness and moral character are the virtues of our student-teachers that have enabled them to attain appreciation as well as achieve laurels in academics, co-curricular activities and sports. They are competent and committed in every sphere.

To unveil the inherent potential of our student-teachers, we at AIE are proactive in providing an innovative pedagogy that meets international standards and at the same time is deeply imbedded in Indian values, tradition and culture. The activities at AIE emphasize on nurturing life skills, preparing socially concerned and morally upright nation builders of tomorrow.

The dedicated and well qualified faculty and committed administrative/ non-teaching staff are steadfast in thought and action towards progressively achieving the Vision and Mission of the Institute and have been instrumental in providing an inspiring and stimulating environment for holistic progress of each and every student as well as in establishing an excellent reputation of the Institute since its inception in the year 2003.

I am delighted to state that University results have been extremely heartening year after year with a huge number of our student-teachers scoring distinctions and all of them securing first division. We can boast of our student placements in Army Public Schools, Mayo College Ajmer, Delhi Public School, Salwan Public School, Apeejay School, KendriyaVidyalayas and other reputed public schools in India as well as international placements.
